Global Skills Strategy
The Global Skills Strategy has two main components:
1. The Global Talent Stream: This is a fast-track visa program for highly skilled foreign workers in certain occupations. It allows Canadian employers to bring in highly skilled foreign workers on a temporary basis in as little as two weeks.
2. The Global Skills Visa: This is a new visa category for highly skilled foreign workers who are coming to Canada to work on a long-term basis. It allows these workers to come to Canada with their families and to apply for permanent residence after two years.
Overall, the Global Skills Strategy is designed to help Canadian employers access the talent they need to grow and succeed, while also helping to attract highly skilled workers to Canada and contribute to the Canadian economy.
